Avart, Boutique
Studiopepe was called in to redesign from scratch the spaces facing Via Nassa in Lugano. The space is conceptualized as a tactile box, intended to accommodate architectural elements and bespoke design items crafted from exquisite and precious materials, such as onyx or casted glass.
Coarse and rough elements are juxtaposed with refined and polished ones, all the while showcasing vintage pieces that are deemed iconic in the field of design. Nude-colored micro-sand covers both the walls and the floor, fashioning a neutral and sensuous shell, wherein the pure volumes defining the space are accentuated. A large cylindrical column in raw plaster and a ribbon-like, seemingly unending helical staircase, designed by the Studio, connecting the two levels of the boutique, serve as the main sculptural elements of this project.
