Exhibitions
Studiopepe creates installations commissioned by institutions and companies, collaborating with curators in the art and design world. They develop a language exploring new expression territories through the synergy of arts such as dance, video art, music, and plastic arts.
The visual language remains coherent in its eclecticism, employing elements characterizing the studio’s work: use of color, material research, diverse cultural references linking various disciplines. Projects range from ephemeral architectures for trade fairs to immersive designs in existing spaces, forming imaginative scenographies.
Interior project conceived by the Studio during Milano Design Week 2024 and called Mohd Atelier, a place of dialogue and synthesis, a workshop with the aim to create the atmosphere of a creative atelier, thanks to the huge spaces dating back the 20’s, characterized by natural light, coming from large shed windows.
A synesthetic narrative, envisioned was developed to introduce a three-piece, capsule collection designed for Visionnaire. The immersive installation, titled L’impero dei sensi and unveiled during Design Week 2023, focuses on the senses as tools for comprehending the world.
For Euroluce 2023, Studiopepe has developed an ephemeral architecture with enveloping forms, inspired by the path that light draws on the surfaces it encounters during the course of the day. This design emphasizes the close connection that exists between the concept of time and that of light.
Desacralized is an offsite exhibition by Galerie Philia, showcasing a selection of international designers, each exploring the concept of “de-sacralization”. This contrasts with the theme of the previous year, which delved into the sacred. The exhibition will takes place in San Vittore e 40 Martiri, a deconsecrated church with impressive, ruined interiors.
A project designed for Door – La Repubblica magazine, during Milano Design Week. Three portals, fashioned from Alcantara fabric, were installed in three iconic locations in the center of Milan.
Fluid Marvel, conceived for Design Week 2023, is a site-specific installation, located in the iconic courtyard of Hotel Senato. It brings together one-of-a-kind marble and onyx pieces from Alimonti Milano’s Ritagli collection by Studiopepe, previewed for the very first time, alongside a bespoke textile created for the project by Kirkby Design and customized by the Studio.
Temenos was Studiopepe’s first collectible design collection, created in collaboration with Galerie Philia. Bound by their shared interest in anthropology and the study of artifacts from ancient civilizations, the Studio and Galerie Philia conceptualized an immersive experience.
On the occasion of Salone del Mobile 2022. Studiopepe concieved Milanese Splendour, an interior project for the fair booth of the Spanish brand Sancal. 70s and 80s Milanese avant-garde gives shape to a sophisticated and iconic livingroom that could well be found in one of the many palazzo of the Italian cities.
Studiopepe was called upon by Elle Decor Italia to design the exhibition-installation dedicated to new ways of living “en plein air”, hosted in the Cortile d’Onore of Palazzo Litta in Milan. The installation is intended to narrate the desire for a return to the origins, a rediscovered dialogue between man and nature, permeated by the contemplation of the simplest natural landscapes.
On the occasion of Milan Design Week 2021, Studiopepe conceived a special project for Mohd Officina Milano titled Botanica Collettiva – an ideal ecosystem in which each element, by virtue of its distinct voice, contributed to the creation of a harmonious plurality.
Studiopepe taking part in the 2021 digital edition of Life in Vogue with Vogue Italia. We were invited – among 5 other leading figures (Vincent Darré, Luke Edward Hall, Anna Karlin, Marion Mailaender, Nendo) – to virtually interpret the editorial offices of Vogue Italia for the project Love letters to Milan.
Out Of Office is an installation project conceived to tell the story of a footwear collection through the theme of escapism, conceptualized in collaboration with fashion journalist and critic Angelo Flaccavento.
This collection, comprising eight objects, is the result of a Studiopepe study on the relationship between form, light, and color, utilizing ceramics and cyanotype as the medium. Out of the Blue is an idiomatic expression that describes an unexpected event.
Hosted in the iconographic spaces of the Marino Marini Museum in Florence, Il Signor Nino is the first exhibition dedicated to the ideas and style of Nino Cerruti, a protagonist in the annals of Italian fashion.
