Rinascente, 4th Floor
The iconic Italian department store asked Studiopepe to rethink the floor dedicated to contemporary womenswear and shoes. Studiopepe, drawing inspiration from the Milanese workplaces of the 1970s, conceived a functional and rigorous ambiance artfully expressed through a contemporary lens.
The use of graphic elements and pop tones, reminiscent of the Albini and Helg-designed Milanese Underground and the office aesthetics of the 1970s, introduces a fresh, gender-neutral perspective to retail design. In this context, color functions as an architectural instrument. An intense emerald green, paired with a translucent acid yellow and with hints of coral, alongside aluminum and Silipol details – originally employed in the Milanese Underground – creates an unconventional yet visually captivating palette of colors and materials.
