Alimonti Milano - Kirkby Design, Fluid Marvel
Fluid Marvel, conceived for Design Week 2023, is a site-specific installation, located in the iconic courtyard of Hotel Senato.
The installation Fluid Marvel draws inspiration from movement as a creative and generative force. It brings together one-of-a-kind marble and onyx pieces from Alimonti Milano’s Ritagli collection by Studiopepe, previewed for the very first time, alongside a bespoke textile created for the project by Kirkby Design and customized by the Studio.

Fluoro by Kirkby Design is a sheer fabric design made from 100% recycled plastic bottles, created in collaboration with Studiopepe. Ritagli by Alimonti Milano is an ongoing project with Studiopepe, available for purchase at Artemest. It utilizes unique pieces of reclaimed stone slabs to create limited-edition furniture, playing with the juxtaposition of colors and shapes. These slabs maintain the informal elegance – the “casualness” – typical of repurposed “leftovers” reimagined into assembled pieces, celebrating the surprising and laid-back nature of marble.
The interplay of elements – like a dynamic dialogue of opposites – brings marble, air, and water to life through a dance performance that connects each element harmoniously, guided by the rhythm of the cosmos, the bearer of life and wonder.
